Are you building a new home? Why not build
your home to Energy Star® standards. An Energy Star® Home is one that uses the
latest energy technologies to make your home more energy efficient,
less costly to operate, healthier and more environmentally friendly.
Energy Star® homes also enjoy a higher resale value.
Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Energy Star® Homes Program
is a nationwide effort to make homes more energy efficient. As the
New Hampshire sponsor of the Energy Star® Homes program, PSNH can show
you how to build and certify your home to Energy Star® specifications.

for you, please call 1-800-662-7764.
Geothermal heat pumps are refrigeration-based pumping systems which
move and concentrate heat from the earth to heat and cool your home
- something that costs considerably less and is much cleaner than
burning oil or gas. Actual operating costs average 48 cents per square foot per year for heat, hot water, and A/C for past program participants.
Geothermal heat pumps differ from outside air heat pumps in that
they take advantage of the relatively stable earth temperature,
making them ideal for heating and cooling New England homes.
Participants in the Energy Star® Homes Program who choose to install
a geothermal heat pump are eligible for additional incentives. To receive a package with more information, including the geothermal equipment specifications, fill out this online form with your name and address information.
