In the coming years, small-scale renewable energy projects—such as solar panels on the roofs of schools, homes, or businesses—will play an increasing role in meeting New Hampshire’s electricity needs.
Before you invest in a wind turbine or solar panels, however, keep in mind that energy conservation (behavior changes) and energy efficiency (using less energy to do the same task by way of technologies or other measures) are almost always cheaper than installing renewable power resources in your home or business. So, if you want to help preserve the environment and save money, it makes good sense to do all of the reasonable conservation and efficiency measures first.
