www.eere.energy.gov - The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) site is chock full of useful information about what the government is doing to promote new science and technologies in energy.

www.energyquest.ca.gov/index.html - A great site for kids, "The Energy Story", is an elementary guide that covers the basics of electric generation and transmission. You’ll learn how a power plant works, what a substation is and how electrity travels to your home. The site also covers non-traditional forms of power generation including ocean, solar and wind energy generation.
