Busy 2008 Schedule for State Business Recruiters

CONCORD – Just like the Willie Nelson song, the State of New Hampshire’s Business Recruitment Team is “on the road again” throughout much of 2008 in search of businesses interested in expanding or relocating to the Granite State.

Following up on past successes, Business Development Manager Michael Bergeron and Business Development Recruiter Cindy Harrington will represent the state at a variety of events including the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Convention, the CoreNet Global real estate show and the Biotechnology World Conference. The Business Recruitment Team’s primary focus is on attracting companies in the high tech manufacturing, biotech/medical device and insurance/financial services sectors at these events.

“These shows are an important way for us to reach out to decision makers with our message that New Hampshire is a prime destination for innovative businesses of all sizes,” said New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Director Michael Vlacich. “The fact that New Hampshire is the most livable state in the nation, safest state in the nation, and carries one of the lowest overall tax burdens in the country allows us to make a persuasive case for expanding or relocating to New Hampshire. As we support our existing businesses with new tools like the Research and Development Tax Credit and New Hampshire Job Training Fund, we are also makingthe case around the nation and world for why New Hampshire is a great place to live, work and do business.”

The Division of Economic Development is assisted in its trade show efforts by sponsors Public Service of New Hampshire, TD BankNorth and DeNiro Construction.
