PSNH's and the State of New Hampshire Economic Development Groups Team Up to Lead an Upper Valley Broker Tour

Over 25 industrial and office real estate brokers from the southern tier of New Hampshire will learn about the benefits of doing business in the Upper Valley as part of a state-led bus tour on April 8, 2004.

The tour, organized by the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development in coordination with Public Service of New Hampshire, is designed to provide southern New Hampshire real estate brokers with information about available commercial and industrial properties in the Upper Valley.

"With its easy interstate access, skilled labor pool and rich scenic beauty, the Upper Valley is a great place to establish a business," New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development Commissioner and tour host George Bald said. "As the realtor community seeks new venues for their business clients interested in expanding beyond Southern New Hampshire, we’d like them to consider the many positive aspects of doing business in the Valley."

Included in the bus tour will be visits to the American Brush building and the downtown Claremont mills as well as the Centerra Resource Park. Leading Upper Valley economic development officials Mark Aldrich, Claremont Economic Development Director, Bob Weaver, Claremont Economic Development Special Projects official, Steve Epstein, Grafton County Economic Development Director and Gregg Fairbrothers, Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network Executive Director, will host various parts of the tour, highlighting the individual business initiatives taking place in their cities and towns.

Public Service of New Hampshire is serving as sponsor of the tour, continuing a tradition of partnering with the state on such efforts as trade shows, economic development summits and business recruitment missions.

"Public Service of New Hampshire is invested in supporting economic development initiatives in the Upper Valley and working with the Division of Economic Development to help promote economic opportunity for all," Public Service of New Hampshire Economic and Community Development Manager Pat McDermott added. "This tour will be a real eye opener for brokers who’ve never had the pleasure of learning what real business opportunities exist for their clients in the Upper Valley."
