
PSNH has established a Community Development Grant program intended to stimulate
New Hampshire's economic vitality. These grants are awarded to specific municipal, government or non-profit projects
and organizations that have a direct positive impact on the economic development
of New Hampshire communities. The grants are awarded on a case by case basis
over the course of the year based on the following guidelines:

Grant Criteria
Essential elements to be considered for a PSNH grant:
- The project is a product of a municipal, government and/or non-profit organization.
- The project is an investment in economic development.
- The project will enhance economic activity.
- The impact will be in PSNH service territory.
- The project will create or retain jobs.
- The project will ultimately result in increased or retained electric sales.
Elements that are beneficial for consideration:
- The project has a high likelihood of success.
- The project is of value to the community.
- The project has a regional impact.
- The results of the project are measurable.
- The benefits of the project are long term.
- Resources come from multiple partners.
- Funding is leveraged or matched.
- The local community is involved.
PSNH grants are not:
- Charitable gifts.
- Short term promotions (brochures, video).
- Sponsorships.
- Tuition assistance for individual attendance at training or educational
programs.
- Municipal Street Lighting projects.
- Installation of Underground Service.
