Solar and Wood
Practicality. It isn’t just a way of life in New Hampshire. It’s the path to a cleaner energy future. PSNH is focused on practical ways to make New Hampshire’s clean energy goals reality. By pursuing innovations in energy efficiency in solar power today, we can connect New Hampshire with even greater renewable energy tomorrow. That’s why PSNH recently converted one of its coal-burning boilers to use clean, carbon-neutral wood chips. Visit psnh.com to see learn about all of our clean energy efforts.

Wind and Solar
Practicality. It’s more than a value our parents taught us. It’s the key to building a cleaner energy future. PSNH is taking practical steps forward to make New Hampshire’s energy goals a reality. By pursuing a range of solutions -- from wood to wind powered energy -- that are achievable, affordable, and sustainable for the future. That’s why PSNH is piloting the state’s largest array of solar panels at its headquarters in Manchester. Visit psnh.com to learn about all of our clean energy efforts.

Responsible Forestry

Deep NH Forest

How Deep is a Forest?
- How deep is a forest? Deeper than you may realize. New Hampshire's forests help define who we are. They're linked to our history, our industry and our quality of life. And a great place to spend an afternoon. That's why PSNH works with forestry and environmental experts. To be sure we're using these resources responsibly to meet the growing need for renewable energy. Because our forests have always been here for us. And we want to continue down that path.

Sides of a Tree

How Many Sides does a Tree have?
- How many sides does a tree have? The trees in New Hampshire's forests help drive our economy. They keep our air and water clean. And they're excellent for climbing. That's why PSNH works with forestry and environmental experts. So everything we do, like using wood chips to fuel our Northern Wood Plant, is done responsibly. So even as renewable energy demands grow, our forests will thrive. Which is good, no matter how you look at it.

New Hampshire At Its Best

Fisher Cats

This is Diane Monteith
- This is Diane Monteith. Diane’s one of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ most valuable team members. Diane’s not a pitcher, or much of a hitter. She’s not even on the team’s roster. Diane is a Customer Account Executive for PSNH and thanks to her – the Fisher Cats Ballpark is a shining example of New Hampshire at its best, day or night.

Crown Point

This is Jim Cailler
- This is Jim Cailler. He’s seen Crown Point Cabinetry in Claremont, New Hampshire grow from a garage to a new 100,000 square foot plant. He doesn’t own the place. Truth is, as a black belt, he’d rather break boards than build with them. Jim is a Customer Accountant Executive with PSNH and he helped Crown Point find efficiencies that lowered their costs so their new building wouldn’t break the bank. That’s New Hampshire at its best.

Main Street

This is Doris Burke
- This is Doris Burke. Doris is an important part of Milford, New Hampshire. She doesn’t hold political office, or own a business in town. In fact, Doris doesn’t even live here. She’s the Community Development Manager for PSNH, and her work with the Main Street program has helped re-energize Milford and many other New Hampshire towns. That’s New Hampshire at its best.

Merrimack River

This is Steve Robinson
- This is Steve Robinson. As part of his job, Steve helps to protect the water and marine life of the Merrimack River. Steve’s not a teacher, or a scientist. He can’t even tell a female from a male eel. Steve works for PSNH at the Amoskeag Hydro plant and he’s helping New Hampshire understand and appreciate the magic of the Merrimack River. That’s New Hampshire at its best.

Osprey

This is Marc St. Cyr
- This is Marc St. Cyr. As part of his work, Marc is helping establish nesting sites for the threatened Osprey in New Hampshire. Marc’s not a biologist, or much of a bird watcher. Marc is a lineworker for PSNH. With his help, dozens of nesting sites have been established as part of Project Osprey, and these majestic residents are thriving once again. That’s New Hampshire at its best.

PSNH Heroes

Heroes
- Do you know a hero when you see one? That special breed of person that seems to be there day or night, no matter what -- doing whatever it takes to help folks out, whenever they need it. That's a real hero. And although they may not wear a cape...some of them do wear yellow hats.

Mother Nature at Her Worst

Mother Nature
- If there's one thing in New England you can never be sure of, it's the weather. Like they say, just wait five minutes, it will change. But one thing you can always count on, is that we will be there to keep you connected no matter what. You could say that when mother nature is at her worst, we're at our best.
